Data Integration in Oracle Cloud ERP

Data integration is one of the most important aspects of modern day systems. If you are planning to use Cloud Based services it is extremely important to synchronize data between the external systems and existing systems with your Cloud Based Service. External systems include your on-premise systems as well. Lets take a closer look at data integration options available for Oracle Cloud.

There are mainly four different options that we have for Data Integration in Oracle Cloud ERP.

FBDI (File Based Data Import)
FBDI allows you to download pre-defined templates that can be used to upload data into Oracle Cloud ERP.

ADFdi (ADF Desktop Integration)
ADFdi enables desktop integration with MS Excel spreadsheets. This will remind you of Web ADI.

ADF Services
ADF Services is similar to Web Services. Just like web services, ADF Services can be accessed remotely using different XML-based languages.

Reporting Tools – This is mainly used for reporting and extracting data from Cloud ERP.

  • BI Publisher
  • OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence)
  • FRC (Financial Reporting Center)
  • Smart View

We will take a closer look at each of these options in the coming days. Oracle Enterprise Repository is a one stop shop for documentation on FBDI, ADFdi and ADF Services available in Oracle Cloud ERP.
